The Genetically Modified Organisms Information Center – InfOMG is a non guvernmental association, founded in 2006 in Cluj Napoca city, Romania.
Our purpouse is to offer information to the public and decision making bodies about the GMO situation in Romania. Also, we contribute to the information and public awareness regarding the negative impact of GMO at a social, environmental and economic level.
We monitor the GMO cultivation in Romania and their placement on the Romanian and E.U. market, and also the decisions made by the Romanian Government and the European structures.
We are actively involved in the Romanian decision making process regarding GMO and biosafety. At a European level, we take part at the lobbying actions and activities developed by other members of the civil society in Europe.
